How we moderate reports

Lala LLC Report follows a published-but-flagged moderation model. Reports go live quickly so the platform can serve as an early-warning system, but every report carries a visible status badge that tells readers exactly how much (or little) human review it has had. The diagram below uses the same status names you'll see on every report page.

What each status means

Unverified

The report has passed automated checks (spam score, duplicate detection, PII pre-scan) and is now visible to the public. No moderator has reviewed it yet. The status badge says Unverified on purpose — it tells the reader that this is an allegation, not an adjudicated finding.

Under Dispute

The accused party has claimed the profile and formally disputed the report. The status change is public immediately — not hidden behind an internal review — so no one can accuse us of quietly shelving a dispute. Both the reporter and the accused get to present evidence; a moderator then makes a final decision.

Moderator Verified

A moderator has reviewed the report and found it substantive. The original report stays on the page alongside any rebuttal from the accused — verification never erases the other side.

Removed

A report is only removed for one of four reasons: (a) proven false after moderator review, (b) doxxing or PII violation, (c) valid court order or legal takedown, or (d) the reporter's own request. The public page is replaced with a removal notice that states the category of reason, never the full private detail. The underlying data is retained internally for legal defensibility (audit log, repeat-offender detection) and is never silently deleted.

The no-pay-to-remove promise

No pay-to-remove. We will never accept payment in exchange for taking down a report. Any “expedited review” fee we ever offer will be flat-rate, published in advance, and never tied to the outcome. This is the #1 reputational and legal risk pattern in this category, and it is the one promise we will not negotiate on.
